My name is Elena Afonina. I have been breeding Persian cats since 1997 and in 2000 my cattery "SOFT CUPID" was registered in the american Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA).

At 1998 two important events happened in my cattery. Firstly, I purchased a wonderful blue male producer from the "MONAMISS" cattery. His name is Monamiss Blue Diamond (at home he is simply called "Dimka"). He is a carrier of himalayan gene and his marvellous pedigree combines two very strong bloodlines: SORRENTINA (solids) and PURRINGWOOD (himalayans). "Dimka" is a very big and remarkable cat with his unique beauty and a lot of charm. The first time he took part in the CFA Show he already became the Champion and now he is struggling to acquire the most honoured title of the Grand Champion CFA.

But little later new animals appeared in cattery. Now two directions in my program of the breeding - "himalayan" and "solid".

We work with the bloodlines of "SORRENTINA", "PURRINGWOOD", "TEAHS", "BOLO", "MISTILAGUN", "GWENDERO", "HAPAJO", "TOPCATTERY" and other well-known catteries.

The aim of breeding in my cattery is the strong and healthy progeny, of better type than their parents. My cats are full members of our family, they live together with us, communicating with the children. So all the kittens have a stable psyche, a wonderful temperament for exhibitions. They are worthy of the best houses!

At the present moment my cattery is in the state of development. This year I plan to work with the Himalayan line and to introduce white and bi-colors into breeding.
